Automation Solution
The Subscriber Portal (now CIM portal) , enables the user to set N number of automation based on certain criteria and schedule.
1. Occurrence based rules
2. Non-Occurrence based rules
3. Time based rules.
The rule sets have parameters like armed mode (only converge), system status/mode, equipment status and time period. Here, we'll see sample sensor-device-system synced automation options.
1. Automating Temperature settings :
a. Scenario : Heating up room, once user is back home.
This is an event triggered rule. Steps to set this automation.
Event > Main Door Open > Set Thermostat1 to Heat > Set Thermostat1 Temperature > Set the time range within which rule to be worked > Set ALL DAYS in days of week > Set the mode > Save.
b. Scenario : Turn OFF air conditioning in Morning.
Schedule > Set Thermostat1 to OFF > Set the time as SUNRISE > Set ALL DAYS in days of week > Set the mode > Save.
2. Automating Lighting :
a. Scenario : Turn OFF light on SUNRISE.
Schedule > Lights > Set Status OFF (turn back ON optional)> Set time as SUNRISE > Set ALL DAYS in days of week > Set the mode > Save.
b. Scenario : Turn ON lights when children play in Lobby.
Event > Lobby Motion Motion > Set Lobby Light and Dining Light ON > Set time as ANYTIME > Set ALL DAYS in days of week > Set the mode > Save.
3. Automating Main Door :
a. Scenario : Report user when burglar breaks door-lock
Event > Select Door Lock > Trouble > Send Email with Video > Select Camera1 entrance > Set time as ANYTIME > Set ALL DAYS in days of week > Set the mode > Save.
b. Scenario : Report user when children return home from School.
Event > Select Door Lock > OPEN> Send Text message > Set time as 12 PM to 2 PM > Select MON-FRI in days of week > Set the mode > Save.
c. Scenario : Report user when children DON'T return home from School.
Event > Select Main Door >Does NOT OPEN> Send Text message > Set time as 12 PM to 2 PM > Select MON-FRI in days of week > Set the mode > Save.
4. Automating emergency events :
a. Scenario : Report user when fire in house.
Event > Select Smoke Kitchen > Detected> Send Email with Video > Select Camera2 kitchen > Set time as ANYTIME > Set ALL DAYS in days of week > Set the mode > Save.
b. Scenario : Report user when kitchen flooded.
Event > Select Water Kitchen > Detected> Send Text message > Set time as ANYTIME > Set ALL DAYS in days of week > Set the mode > Save.
c. Scenario : Arm Night system in night.
Schedule > System Status ARM Night > Set the time as 10:30 PM > Set ALL DAYS in days of week > Save.
